Thermal protection is available in different variants and for different needs. The most common heat protection comes in the form of a serum, spray or cream that protects your hair from high temperatures during styling. Your hair needs special protection when using a straightening iron or curling iron, because without protection your hair will become brittle and dry. Check if your product is suitable for such high temperatures. Not all products protect the hair at such high temperatures. Heat protection should also be used when drying with a hairdryer. There are shampoos, conditioners and masks, some of them without silicones, that not only care for your hair but also protect it from heat. If in doubt, for example when using a shampoo and a straightening iron, use an additional heat protection to protect your hair from high temperatures.
