The pheomelanin pigments are much more difficult to remove, so it often takes longer. A decolorizer reduces the natural pigments eumelanin and pheomelanin. All these pigments are located in the cortex. The thinner the natural hair color is, the more intense the color pigment is and therefore the lightening process can be more difficult.
